I am the Director of the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences at the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University. Formerly, I was a Professor of Chemistry and Atmospheric Sciences at Howard University. Director of the NOAA Center for Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology. My research interests include: observational studies of regional and global atmospheric chemistry of mineral dust aerosols, air quality in tropical megacities, environmental justice, intersections of air quality and health, and photochemistry in extraterrestrial atmospheres.
